Electric Rain has announced the release of Swift 3D version 2.0. Swift 3D allows users to design and render 3D scenes to the Macromedia Flash file format, as well Adobe Illustrator, EPS, and the latest XML-based SVG. Swift 3D v2.0 features a number modeling tools including extrusion and lathe editors, Postscript font support, targeted cameras and lights, extended primitive selection, automated timeline scaling, non-uniform scaling of objects, numerical positioning of objects, and the ability to animate materials. Swift 3D v2.0 is also powered by the Ravix II rendering engine which can perform a number features including full color cartoon fills, shadow rendering, specular highlights, line weight, color and detail settings for full control over wireframe output, and a previewing system to view and edit rendered scenes before writing a file. Swift 3D v2.0 is available from the Electric Rain website for $159.
