Representatives from Electronic Arts have announced that the company is to relocate the Maxis development studio from the city of Walnut Creek in Northern California to Silicon Valley. The move will apparently retain “the majority” of Maxis’ 300 employees, with the reason for the move given as a lack of space in the old offices. The current Maxis office will be retained for the use of a small team working on an as-yet unannounced project, with Sim City and The Sims creator Will Wright dividing his time between the two locations.
