EA Lands "Lord Of The Rings" Franchise From New Line Cinema

The license grants EA the exclusive rights to develop and publish products based on the movies for next generation video game consoles and handheld platforms. EA said it will launch the first game next Fall, in conjunction with the second motion picture, "The Two Towers". Information on the subsequent games will be announced at a later date.
