Following the recent departure of chief financial officer Warren Jenson, Electronic Arts has appointed Eric Brown to the role of CFO and executive vice president. Brown was previously COO of EA's Redwood Shores studio, and rejoins the company following a stint as CFO and COO of software company McAfee. Brown takes the position amid EA's ongoing "hostile" bid for publisher Take Two, most recently making a tender offer for all outstanding shares of its stock at $26 – the same price as its original rejected formal offer. EA CEO John Riccitiello commented, "Eric's strong financial background, broad international experience and industry knowledge makes him a perfect fit for EA. Eric is a highly-regarded CFO, and we are looking forward to having him join our team."
