Officials from Electronic Arts have announced that they are ending support for massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Earth & Beyond on 22nd September this year. The game, the last to be produced by the now defunct Westwood Studios, will have been in operation for little more than a year. The company’s reasons for closing the game are so it can “focus its resources on future games”. Existing game users will be a contacted by e-mail with more detailed information on how exactly this move will affect them. Source Electronic Arts
