The VIP is designed to aid developers of games incorporating Dolby Surround and Dolby Digital technology. Dolby will provide participating developers with talent and resource information, marketing support, and equipment data. At the GDC, Dolby staff will demonstrate how Dolby's surround technologies are mixed and encoded into games using working models of four differently-budgeted studios and PC-based workstations. Interested developers can receive a Dolby Interactive Sound Kit (DISK), which has a resource guide to multichannel audio in games and includes mixing tools, tips and technology.
