Disney Interactive has announced a full suite of cross-platform games to accompany its forthcoming animated film Bolt, with versions of the game for Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and the PC. The film, starring John Travolta as the titular canine TV star Bolt, sees the dog making a cross-country journey back home after being accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York City, and finding out the super powers he thought he had don't work in the real world. Disney Interactive says the game, developed by Avalanche Software (Tak, Meet the Robinsons) and Altron (DS version, SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis), takes place over five international locations, including Russia and Italy, and will let players use his TV superpowers like laser vision and a 'superbark,' as well as stealth and hacking skills. Said Disney senior VP of global marketing Craig Relyea, “Bolt uses the film as a springboard, expanding upon the action and dynamic story elements, to provide a fun, challenging experience for gamers. With Bolt, Avalanche Software looks to further its reputation as a premier developer of compelling animated games for a broad audience.”
