Disney Interactive has announced that Pure, an extreme sports off-road racing title in development by Black Rock Studio (MotoGP), will be released for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 in Fall 2008. Players can choose among a variety of male and female character riders, and will be able to race in either single-player mode or against up to 16 online players in races and freestyle competition. Gameplay focuses on aerial jumps and airborne tricks, against the backdrop of real-world locations around the world. Black Rock Studio will be advised by pro stunt rider and H-Bomb Films founder Wes Miller, who the company says is involved in development to assure the game "adheres to the sport's culture and authenticity but still allows creative liberties." Disney Interactive Studios senior VP of global marketing Craig Relyea commented, "We expect Pure to set a new standard for off-road racing that delivers adrenaline-inducing vertical experiences with spectacular aerial tricks and intense wheel-to-wheel racing. Pure will appeal to a wide audience based on the game's jaw-dropping aerial tricks, breakneck racing and vast environments."
