Dell has announced the availability of its Precision M50 mobile workstation. The M50, feautring a Pentium 4M at 1.8 GHz and a Nvidia Quadro 4 500 Go GL graphics processing unit, is aimed squarely at making workstation-level preformace portable. The Precision M50's technical specifications include:

  • Mobile Intel Pentium 4-M Processor at 1.80GHz

  • Intel Mobile 845MP Chipset; 400MHz Processor System Bus

  • Nvidia Quadro 4 500 Go GL GPU with 64MB DDR graphics memory, > 4X AGP support graphics controller

  • Operating systems: Microsoft Windows XP Professional or > Windows 2000 Professional

  • Memory configurations: 256, 512, 1024 MB PC2100 Double Data > Rate SDRAM
