Officials from Ubisoft have confirmed that Free Radical’s forthcoming PS3-exclusive action title Haze will be released on December 14 on Europe, with a North American release also expected next month. The announcement follows speculation that the title had been delayed into 2008. The game, from the UK-based creators of the TimeSplitters series, has undergone a series of shifts in platform. Originally announced for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC title, the game became a PlayStation 3 exclusive in September. Further rumors that the game was only a timed exclusive have never been definitively addressed by either Ubisoft or Free Radical, with the companies only definitively stating that the game is planned for the PlayStation 3. Haze, originally slated for release in November, now sees U.S. retailers indicating a December 4th stateside launch. The December 14th date in Europe will make the game one of the last major releases of 2008 and the Christmas gift-giving period.
