Representatives from Japanese publisher D3 Publishing have announced that the company has acquired fellow Japanese publishers ESP in a deal worth just ¥120 million ($1.1m). ESP is best known for publishing Treasure-developed classics such as Radiant Silvergun and Bangai-o in Japan, as well as the original version of popular RPG Grandia. In more recent years, its most notable title has been the cult Victorious Boxers game, based on the comic book series Hajime no Ippo.
