Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Eidos announced today that Jeremy Heath-Smith, the company's Development Director and the Managing Director of Core Design, is leaving Core and Eidos.
Heath-Smith is the founder of Core Design, the studio that gave birth to Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise in 1996. The company was subsequently acquired by Eidos, and Heath-Smith has remained with the company (in different capacities) since then. He sat on the board of both Core and Eidos. While officially Eidos said in a statement that it "would like to express its gratitude to Jeremy for his contribution to the development of the Eidos Group over the past seven years," there is speculation that the delay in the latest Tomb Raider title may have had something to do with the timing of his departure.
