Officials from Codemasters have announced the appointment of ex-Sony Europe executive Hal Bame as the company’s new director of distributor territories, alongside a number of other new appointments. Barne spent five years as sales and marketing manager for distributor markets at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE), developing the company’s business in Russia/CIS, Central Europe and Eastern Europe. More recently he helped found Sony Computer Entertainment Polska. Also announced at the same time is the appointment of Felix Bradshaw as international sales manager for distributor territories. Bradshaw was previously senior key account manager for Codemasters’ UK operations. Also promoted internally is Leasal Chapple-Hyam, who becomes the division’s business operations executive. The distributor territories division will work with Codemasters’ existing distribution partners across territories including Spain, Australia, Italy, Russia/CIS, Scandinavia, Benelux, Greece and South Africa. The company is also looking to drive business in emerging markets such as Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and India. “The dedicated distributor territories unit complements our established overseas operations in North America, France, Germany, Holland, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. Hal brings a wealth of expertise and experience that will be hugely beneficial as we invest further in outlying markets,” said Tony Williams, CEO of Codemasters. “The draw of Codemasters’ portfolio makes this a thoroughly exciting opportunity for me. The company has built upon its strong heritage and, in the past fiscal year, already seen international sales grow by an impressive 72 percent,” said Bame.
