The CMP Game Group, which is a leading source for video game professionals with its Game Developer Magazine, Gamasutra.com and Game Developers Conference properties, has announced the launch of a new video game weblog meant for both game professionals and game players, and called GameSetWatch. GameSetWatch is headed by Game Developer/Gamasutra EIC and former Slashdot Games editor Simon Carless. Contributors to the daily-updated game weblog, which aims to pinpoint and succinctly link to the gems of video game coverage online, include GeekOnStun weblog creator Michael McWhertor, Edge Magazine contributor Brandon Boyer, LostLevels founder Frank Cifaldi and Wonderland game weblog creator Alice Taylor, as well as Insert Credit co-founder and Game Developer editor Brandon Sheffield. "We're delighted to launch GameSetWatch with some of the best video game weblog writers around", said Simon Carless, EIC of Game Developer. "There are so many fascinating facts and interesting content that we just can't cover on our existing sites every day, and we thought the best place for them would be on GameSetWatch, a weblog that picks up on intriguing, emerging or even neglected content that game professionals and video game fans alike will appreciate." The official GameSetWatch site is open now, and will be updated multiple times daily. A summary of the best posts will also be available on Gamasutra every day.
