Hydrophobia and Hydroengine developer Blade Interactive has announced that a "multi million deal" with investment group Total Asset Limited to help the company expand its recently announced publisher status and the further development of its original IP. Apart from its own internal IP and engine development, the company has also recently expanded into the middleware business with the Infinite Worlds technology suite and set up a new mobile phone development company. It also recently announced plans for the company to become a fully fledged publisher, beginning with its successful World Snooker Championship series, which has previously been published by Sega. Total Asset's George Alexander said, "Total Asset Limited has for some time been actively seeking robust IP holders in the video games business who seek to extend the range of their activities. We couldn’t be more pleased with our deal with Blade Interactive Studios and the World Snooker Championship brand which we see as one of the top 10 sports brands in the market place."
