Bionatics, a maker of procedural plant modeling and simulation software, announced additions to its 3D plant library. The library was updated with with 50 new plants and trees, bringing the total library size to 250 plants. Plants come from the North American continent, from Mexico to the sub-artic Canadian territories, Europe, Japan, South America and the Pacific, and the Mediterranean. Additions to the library have been made to palm trees species, oaks, pine, poplar, cherry, elm, and dogwoods. Prices vary according to product ($60-$150) and quantity purchased. Plants may be purchased online and require one of the following Bionatics products: EASYnat, natFX for 3ds max, natFX for Maya, or REALnat.
