Autodesk, Inc., announced that, as part of Autodesk University's annual 2005 confab, 3ds Max game developers will have the opportunity to participate in two days of intensive training presented by the Autodesk 3ds Max core software development team, with a special session presented by strategic partner Intel Corporation. Held at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida, from November 29 ­ 30, the 3ds Max Developers Conference will teach users to customize production pipelines, build solid MAXScripts, transfer scene data, and use the open 3ds Max framework. Autodesk University brings together industry professionals in the fields of building design, manufacturing, GIS, Civil Engineering, CAD Management, Drafting, Visualization, Games Development and many others. Over 375 multi-level classes, organized in discipline-specific tracks, will be taught by leaders in the industry. The 3ds Max software Developers Conference held in conjunction with Autodesk University includes courses on areas of focus including Igame, IgameExporter XML, MAXScript, the SDK, DirectX, shader handling, customer MAXScript materials and a variety of other foundational issues. Highlights include "What's New in the Autodesk 3ds Max 8 SDK" taught by Jean-Francois Yelle, "DirectX" taught by Neil Hazzard, "Migrating code from 32-bit to 64-bit Windows" presented by Charles Congdon, Sr., "Case Study: Games Pipeline" taught by Jason Hayes, and "Advanced MAXScript" taught by Larry Minton.
