ATI announced that it has released a new set of beta software driver for its Radeon 9700 Pro, Radeon 9500 Pro, Radeon 9700 and Radeon 9500 graphics chips, which support DirectX 9.0 Release Candidate 0. The new driver set, Catalyst Beta Release Candidate 0, is the first DirectX 9 support on the market. ATI also released four demos - "Pipedreams," "Rendering with Natural Light," "Car," and "Bear", which highlight some of the new capabilities of DirectX 9. The demos are available on ATI's web site.
