Ashlar-Vellum, has announced the release of Argon, Xenon and Cobalt, three new products in the company’s new Designer Elements Series of next-generation 3D modeling products. Argon provides precision rendering of any freeform surface or solid, and includes classic Vellum 2D/3D freeform wireframe integration. Argon also offers surface analysis, organic NURBS surface modeling, true solid modeling and advanced photorealistic rendering. Argon is priced at $995.00. Xenon is for users who need a high-end industrial design tool but without the expensive engineering functions. Unlike Argon, Xenon supports history-based associativity, making design revisions significantly faster and easier. Xenon also offers Class-A NURBS surface modeling, ACIS solid modeling, a design explorer feature-based history tree and flyby/walk-through/object VR/panoramic VR animation. Xenon is priced at $2,795.
