ARUSH Entertainment announced its new GameCapsule, a packaged solution that lets companies deliver and sell games online. The GameCapsule acts as a digital "wrapper" for Web video games, offering simplified downloading and installation to consumers and giving them detailed game information, updates and the opportunity to purchase other titles with the click of a button. Users download a game from the Web and can then play it at any time, whether they are connected to the Internet or not. Companies can create private-label versions of the GameCapsule for their own sites, letting them charge consumers for high-quality content and create a new revenue stream while continuing to promote their own brand. Newly developed games can be inserted into the system, expanding a catalog of games. The intellectual property is protected from file sharing through the digital-rights-management features of the GameCapsule. The GameCapsule also features a dynamic content area that can advertise upcoming titles, offer special deals on additional games or promote cross-marketing alliances.
