Leading online retailer Amazon recently unveiled Amazon Motion Gaming 101, an online consumer guide for motion controllers across all platforms. With new motion controllers for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 joining the motion gaming market, Amazon hopes to help consumers pick their ideal console and controller. The new section on the Amazon website provides a basic overview of motion controllers on the Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, with videos, game recommendations, customer reviews and gift suggestions. Motion Gaming 101 also provides price breakdowns for each platform, to help clarify which hardware consumers need to buy for their console of choice. The Motion Gaming 101 page also promises videos from the major console manufacturers, with interviews with developers and players, game demonstrations, and information on the most popular titles for each platform. “Our goal with Motion Gaming 101 is to eliminate some of the guesswork when it comes to choosing a console for motion gaming, and if you already own a console, to choose the right accessories and games available for your system,” said Paul Ryder, VP of consumer electronics and video games at Amazon. In addition to the Motion Gaming 101 page, Amazon has shown recently its dedication to video game sales by offering 99 cent release day delivery for many popular titles.
