A photocopied image purporting to be the technical specifications for the Nintendo DS (or “Nitro” as it now seems to be code-named) has surfaced on the Internet. The document is entirely in Japanese and while confirming some of the processor and memory details previously revealed it also suggests features such as a touch screen and 802.11 wireless LAN technology. Perhaps most surprisingly the document alleges a 3D graphics system capable of drawing 120,000 polygons per second, with a fill-rate of 30 million pixels per second. Although much less powerful than Sony’s more expensive PSP device, this gives the system 3D rendering power roughly equivalent to the Nintendo 64. Source: IGN
