Activision filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to occasionally sell up to 7.5 million shares of common stock.
The company said it plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including working capital, debt repayment, capital spending, joint ventures and acquisitions. Activision withdrew a previous filing for a shelf offering on October 23. That shelf was to have been for 6.9 million shares. At the time, the company blamed changing market conditions on the withdrawal.
