Business network Alliance numériQC has officially announced the fourth Montreal International Game summit (MIGS), set to take place on November 27-28 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, and this year featuring a keynote by Acclaim's Dave Perry (2Moons, Top Secret). MIGS organizers say that this year's summit will include a new business lounge, a personalized meeting management service for industry professionals, and has a "dynamic new look," which it says enhances "Montreal’s reputation as a centre for creativity and innovation." Though the full schedule has yet to be revealed, MIGS says its keynote speakers will include industry veteran David Perry, currently producing a number of titles for Acclaim Games, as well as CEO of consultancy firm gameconsultants.com and investment portal gameinvestors.com. The summit's 50 tutorials, seminars and conference sessions will also see speakers like Persuasive Games' Ian Bogost, EA's George Borshukov, Vicarious Visions' Mike Chrzanowski, Stormfront's Don Daglow, Foundation 9's Jon Goldman, Ubisoft's Clint Hocking, Eidos' Julien Merceron, Neopets' Samuel Rivello, and Scope Seven's Duncan Wain. Said Alliance numériQC CEO Solange Blanchard, “The Summit’s success since its beginnings confirms the relevance of holding this kind of gathering in Montreal, where we’ll be hosting more than 1,000 professionals from around the world. It’s an exceptional place for information sharing, and one that helps foster the development of expertise in this rapidly evolving industry."
