The second annual Montreal International Games Summit has been announced, and will take place from November 2nd-3rd at Quebec’s Mount Royal Centre. The industry-only event involves two days of workshops, post-mortem discussions, and keynote speeches from established industry professionals. Last year’s Montreal Games Summit had over 500 attendees, and organizers are hoping for even more this year. Approximately 30 firms are slated to present their latest products at the summit, but the focus remains on the roughly 30 seminars and workshops for game developers. In addition, planned seminars are split into next generation and casual, online, alternative, and mobile game segments, with specific talks concentrating on art, audio, design, production/business, and programming. Summit organizers plan for developers from Quebec, Canada, and the Eastern United States to learn from and network with one another, and events will include an invitation-only cocktail party.
