Microsoft has announced that this Wednesday's regular Xbox Live Arcade update will see the release of Capcom's reworked Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, as well as an add-on pack for Bomberman Live, and new content for Eets: Chowdown. First announced in April at Capcom's Gamers Day event, and priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10), Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will feature including newly redrawn 1080p HD graphics from the backgrounds and blocks, handled by developer Backbone and all new character portraits, done by Udon Entertainment (the company responsible for the official US Street Fighter series of comics). The game will also see "improved game balance," (as discussed on sister site GameSetWatch) and, most importantly, online play -- a feature fans of the cult puzzler have been asking for since it first appeared. The game will also be including the X, Y, and Z-'ism' modes from the Dreamcast's "For Matching Service" version. Hudson Entertainment has also announced that it will be releasing Bomb-Up Pack 1, the first add-on pack for Bomberman Live for Xbox Live Arcade, on August 29th. The new update pack adds ten new characters -- including "Little Bomby Foo Foo" the bunny and "Rocky Bomboa" the boxer -- two new leaderboards, and a new game mode, "Frag," which lets players pre-set the number of enemies they must bomb in order to win the game. There are also two new levels; the "High Stakes" level features a Vegas-style casino, and "Zeppelin" pits players against tornado hazards on a dirigible. The Bomb-Up Pack will be priced at 250 Microsoft Points (approximately $$3.13). An unspecified content pack for Eets: Chowdown is also expected for the Wednesday update, but Microsoft have yet to offer any additional details on the package.
