Despite a 40 percent drop in sales, Polyphony Digital and Sony's Gran Turismo 5: Prologue for PS3 has maintained its place at the top of both the combined and individual format charts in the UK. The mid-priced title accounted for 39 percent of all PlayStation 3 sales this week - and 28 percent of all PlayStation 3 software revenues. Much of the rest of the chart is dominated by Wii and Nintendo DS titles, with Konami’s PES 2008: Pro Evolution Soccer moving up two places to number three in its second week on sale, with overall sales of the title across all formats up 34 percent. By comparison, combined sales of Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 were down by 43 percent. In another good week for Sega, Condemned 2 on Xbox 360 became the only new entry in the top ten at number eight. The PlayStation 3 version entered at number eighteen, with sales split 67 to 33 percent between the two formats, likely helped by the original game’s status as an Xbox 360 exclusive. Sega also saw the Xbox 360 version of Viking: Battle for Asgard move up two places to number nine in its second week, while the PlayStation 3 version moved up seven places to number twenty-two. Overall, the company has eleven titles in the individual format charts, including The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return on Wii at number fourteen and Sega Superstars Tennis on Wii at number fifteen. The only other major new entry this week is D3Publisher and Digital Extremes’ third person action game Dark Sector, with the Xbox 360 version debuting at number sixteen and the PlayStation 3 version at number twenty-five. Overall, there are ten Wii titles in the top forty this week, with nine apiece on Nintendo DS and Xbox 360, six on PlayStation 3, three on PC, two on PSP and one on PlayStation 2.
