Gears 2, Fallout 3 Lead GameFly's Holiday Must-Haves

Online video game rental service GameFly says that, based on the ratings, rankings and rental queues of its users, Epic's Gears of War 2 and Bethesda's Fallout 3 are likely to be the holiday shopping season's most-desired titles. Aside from Epic's Xbox 360-exclusive chart-topper, GameFly's ranked Top 15 Holiday "Must Have" Games for 2009 list is mainly occupied by multiplatform titles like Call of Duty: World at War, Rock Band 2, and Saint's Row 2. But PlayStation 3 exclusives also maintain a presence with Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet, and Metal Gear Solid 4. Other Xbox 360-exclusive games Fable 2 and Left 4 Dead (PC not ranked), along with the already mentioned Gears of War 2, also made the list. Only one Nintendo DS title, Square Enix's Chrono Trigger remake, charted, while Wii and PSP exclusives were completely absent from the Top 15 Holiday "Must Haves." Notably, GameFly's user base is assumedly composed of a somewhat more traditional gaming audience, which explains the absence of general-audience titles like Wii Fit, which was among the top items altogether over the Black Friday holiday shopping weekend.
