Barbican Gallery, in London, has announced the first major and most comprehensive UK exhibition eploring the 40-year history of computer gaming.
The show, which is running from May 16 – September 15 2002 will explore the creativity and influence of computer games on contemporary culture. Over 250 exhibits will be displayed in 11 themed sections exploring a wide variety of areas including early arcade games, and the creative process of games highlighting key individuals who have been responsible for the development of games. The exhibition will also feature early artwork and prototypes of the games.
