Indie developer Kelly Weaver has combined the technology of the Oculus Rift 3D visor with a pair of Razer Hydra motion controllers, to create a full body awareness demo. In the above video, Weaver is able to accurately control his arms within the game, such that it looks as if his own real-life arm movements are corresponding one-to-one with those within Rift's viewpoint. Weaver notes that his individual finger movements are not recorded as-of-yet, although he hopes to be able to do something about this in future demos. Just last week, the Virtuix Omni shows what could be done with a combination of the Oculus Rift and a treadmill system, essentially supplying the means to move around a 3D world with your own legs.
