Back in 2012, Minority Media's Papo & Yo garnered a fair bit of critical acclaim for its allegorical approach to communicating the personal struggles designer Vander Cabellero faced during his childhood.

At GDC 2013 BioWare designer Manveer Heir took advantage of his slot in the perennially popular GDC Microtalks session to extol the strengths of Papo & Yo as a piece of game design and explore how developers can use games to convey both personal and universal truths.

Heir's presentation was heartfelt, thoughtful and to the point -- the whole thing lasts just under six minutes. Now, you can watch his microtalk for free over on the official GDC YouTube channel.
