Good news Alexa developers: Amazon is giving you a new toy to play with, and it's called the Echo Button

The small buzzer promises to "deliver a new way to play games" on Echo devices, and is compatible with a variety of Alexa voice games like Beat the Intro, Dungeon Escape, and Sounds Fun with Mike Epps

Echo Buttons will retail in pairs for $20 when they launch later this year, and are the first in a new line of 'Alexa Gadgets' designed to give users "fun and playful" ways to interact with Amazon's roster of Echo devices.

While Alexa is no doubt best known as the voice assistant tucked inside the Echo and Echo Dot, the tech also provides a number of interactive voice-enabled services across a variety of devices.

You can even play voice-based games through Alexa on compatible devices, and last year Amazon looked to woo developers by releasing a simple interactive adventure game design tool for its Alexa Skills Kit.
