Apple has announced the winners of the annual Apple Design Awards, which aim to celebrate and spotlight some of the App Store's most "innovative, creative, and beautifully designed experiences."

There were 12 winners across six categories, including notable names from the games industry such as Overboard! from developer Inkle, which took home the Delight and Fun award.

Apple Arcade original title Wylde Flowers from Studio Drydock emerged victorious in the Inclusivity category, with Apple praising the game's evolving narrative for representing all ages, cultures, and sexualities.

Elsewhere, Glee-Cheese Studio's minimalist narrative-driven rhythm game, A Musical Story, won the Interaction award, while Broken Rules' ecological adventure Gibbon: Beyond The Trees was honored in the Social Impact category.

Finally, Lego Star Wars: Castaways from Gameloft was celebrated in the Visuals and Graphics category for combining "sizzling visual effects and tactile gameplay."
