BioShock Infinite Leads E3 Game Critics Awards Winners

Irrational and 2K Games' BioShock Infinite led the winners of this year's E3 Game Critics Awards, winning in all four categories it was nominated, including Best of Show, with Sony's PlayStation Vita winning Best Hardware.
Irrational and 2K Games' BioShock Infinite led the winners of this year's E3 Game Critics Awards, winning in all four categories it was nominated, including Best of Show. The title also won for Best Original Game, Best PC Game and Best Action/Adventure Game after a demo that showed off the game's crowd interactions and aerial action on the Skyline rail system. Sony's PlayStation Vita won out over Nintendo's Wii U and other nominees for Best Hardware demonstrated at the show. Vita title Sound Shapes -- developed by Everyday Shooter maker Jonathan Mak -- won awards for Best Handheld Game and Best Social/Casual Game. Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim won two awards for Best Console Game and Best Role Playing Game, while EA's Battlefield 3 also won twice for Best Action Game and Best Online Multiplayer. Sony's Uncharted 3 failed to win a single award despite four nominations. Other notable nominees that failed to win any awards include WB's Batman: Arkham City, EA's Mass Effect 3 Square Enix's Tomb Raider update and EA's Star Wars: The Old Republic. Started in 1998, the E3 Game Critics Awards are decided from among titles that were playable at the annual show by a group of judges representing 35 major American publications that cover games. The awards are not officially linked to E3 or the ESA.
