Social games giant Zynga today launched a new Facebook title worldwide called
Empires & Allies, which it says includes "more social features than any Zynga game."
Developed at the Zynga Los Angeles studio, the game is a strategy, combat-based title that sees players building empires and armies, and venturing out on crusades.
Players can choose to recruit their online friends and fight alongside them, while also tending to other empires and receiving experience points in the process, or build up their own armies and invade friends' empires.
The game is available in a variety of languages including English, French, Spanish and Chinese, along with languages not previously available in a Zynga game, such as Malay, Korean and Norwegian.
Zynga has acquired a variety of social game developers over the last year, including
UK mobile studio Wonderland, which became Zynga Mobile UK, and
DNA Games, the developer behind social title
Casino City.
