Social games company Zynga today made a notable step into the world of real money gambling games, as it launched a couple of browser and download games in the UK. Zynga is banking on the idea that real money online gambling is where it will find its fortune, and has recently been making steps to convert its company into a legal online casino. While real money online gambling isn't yet legal in the U.S., it is possible in the UK. Hence, today Zynga launched ZyngaPlusPoker and ZyngaPlusCasino, a couple of real money games for UK players to get to grips with. The move comes as part of a partnership with UK betting company bwin.party, and Zynga says that more real money gambling games are on the way from the company later this year. "Our long term vision is to offer our players the next generation of real money games on multiple platforms in regulated markets worldwide," explained Barry Cottle, chief revenue officer and executive vice president. Zynga was beaten to the punch earlier this year, as Glu Mobile launched its first real money gambling game in the UK and became one of the first traditional game companies to enter that space.
