Majesco's successful dance fitness game Zumba Fitness will receive a sequel for the Wii this holiday, the company announced Tuesday. Unlike the original, Zumba Fitness 2 will be developed by Chime's Zoe Mode. The studio is no stranger to music games, having contributed to the SingStar and Dancing with the Stars franchises as well as created downloadable song packs for Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero 5. "The Zumba Fitness franchise of video games connects the exhilarating Zumba dance workouts loved by millions with uniquely interactive console platforms that are accessible and fun for consumers of all ages," said Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton. The original Zumba Fitness did quite well in both North America and Europe -- in fact, it currently tops the UK charts. It was developed by Pipeworks Software. In addition to the Wii, the sequel will also see release on another, unannounced console in early 2012.
