Prope, the studio founded by former Sonic Team head Yuji Naka, has released an Unreal Engine 3-powered experimental app called Prope Discoverer for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
The title, which costs $2.99 on Apple's App Store
, is essentially a sharp-looking tech demo that's reminiscent of UE3-maker Epic's free engine demo Epic Citadel
Prope Discover has players exploring a 3D rendered castle environment, searching for hidden cards that take players through the virtual spaces.
Prope is active on the App Store, previously releasing games including Just Half
, 10 Count Boxer
, Real Skijump HD
, Fluffy Bear
and a number of entries in Naka's Let's Tap
series. Discover is the first app released by Prope that uses UE3.
Early this year, Naka also revealed that he is working
on a new flight-based game for the Wii and Nintendo 3DS with his studio, Prope and publisher Kadokawa Games.
