Newsbrief: World of Tanks creator Wargaming has opened a new mobile development studio in Moscow.

The office will be headed up by Andrey Zimenko, who has served as the company's head of mobile publishing since 2015, and will focus on creating brand new 'midcore' experiences.

Wargaming has made no secret of its desire to tap into the lucrative mobile market. Back in June, the firm established its 'Wargaming Mobile' division with a view to publishing new titles and bringing existing franchises to smartphones.

Soon after, Wargaming Mobile acquired Danish casual developer Hapiti for an undisclosed fee and rebranded the studio as Wargaming Helsinki.
