Wargaming's fledgling mobile division has continued its European expansion by picking up Danish casual game developer Hapiti.co for an undisclosed fee.

Hapiti is a former subsidiary of Hitman developer IO Interactive, which recently parted ways with its parent company Square Enix after almost a decade.

The studio has been rebranded as Wargaming Copenhagen, and will work on new projects while continuing to support its back catalog.

World of Tanks creator Wargaming officially opened its mobile division in June with a view to publishing new titles and bringing its own franchises to smartphones.

Prior to that, the company snapped up Finnish mobile dev Boomlagoon and repositioned the studio as Wargaming Helsinki.
