Newsbrief: The next title in Sony's
Sly Cooper platforming franchise will be available for both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, and will take advantage of the cross-save functionality between the two platforms.
Originally,
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time was only announced for the PS3 -- however, the Sanzaru Games-developed title will now see identical releases on both Sony consoles, although the Vita version will receive gyro controls.
The cross-save feature allows Vita users to save their progress in the game, then boot up their PS3 and continue on from the save on the separate platform. Sony did not state whether users will receive both versions for a single price, or whether it will be necessary to purchase both editions to make use of this functionality.
