Twitch heats up: In 2014, it had 100 million unique viewers per month

Newsbrief: Today, Twitch put up a glossy mini-site celebrating its 2014 milestones; of course, some of the most interesting facts on it are its statistics, which we've decided to break out below. 

The site hit a concurrent peak of 1 million viewers in 2014, and 100 million unique viewers per month -- meaning that plenty of people, maybe more than you realize, are checking out games on the site.

The company says that in 2013, in contrast, it had only 45 million monthly viewers. 

Some developers, like Vlambeer (Nuclear Throne) are already successfully using the site as a promotional platform.
