UK game industry trade group TIGA has revealed the winners of its £100,000 ($158,980) TIGA Games Contest, with the aim to help the winning developers build games prototypes and securing funding for innovative titles.

Newsbrief: UK game industry trade group TIGA has revealed the winners of its £100,000 ($158,980) TIGA Games Contest, with the aim to help the winning developers build games prototypes and securing funding for innovative titles. Four development teams won prizes of £25,000 ($39,745) each, as provided by the University of Abertay Dundee's Prototype Fund. Guerilla Tea's Fangs Out!, Remode's Burrow, PLA Studios' Squaddies and Opposable Games' Clockwork Racers were all pronounced winners of the contest. Dr Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO, said that the contest was a means of helping smaller studios achieve their goals, and a way for the organization to make "a real difference" for innovative studios.
