The next three packages of downloadable content for Obsidian and Bethesda's
Fallout: New Vegas will be released simultaneously on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC over the next three months.
May 17's "Honest Hearts" will take place in Utah's Zion National Park, with June's "Old World Blues" returning to the Mojave desert and July's "Lonesome Road" taking players to the natural disaster-torn area of The Divide. All three packs will be available for $9.99 each.
The first DLC pack for
New Vegas, "Dead Money," was
released for the Xbox 360 in December before reaching the PS3 and PC in February. All five DLC packs for the original
Fallout 3 were released jointly on the PC and Xbox 360 months before they appeared on the PS3.
October's
New Vegas received
generally positive reviews when it was released last October, though many critics and players noted significant game-breaking bugs and graphical glitches in the initial release. A number of patches have been released to fix these problems in the months since.
The title
shipped 5 million copies through early November, Bethesda said, after
debuting atop the British sales charts and
finishing second in NPD's October U.S. sales report.
