Playground Games studio director and co-founder Gavin Raeburn is departing the Forza Horizon 5 developer after over a decade.

As reported by Windows Central, Raeburn helped establish the UK studio in 2009 and quickly began working on the Forza Horizon franchise with the help of Turn 10 Studios.

Under Raeburn's leadership, the studio continued to grow and was eventually purchased by Microsoft in 2018, becoming an integral part of the Xbox maker's roster of first-party studios.

The long-serving director will be replaced by Playground co-founder and general manager, Trevor Williams, who will take on the role of studio head effective immediately.

Playground is currently working on supporting Forza Horizon 5 while developing the next instalment in the Fable franchise.
