Steam set a new concurrent user record over the holiday weekend after playing host to over 27 million people.
According to third-party tracker SteamDB, an all-time peak of precisely 27,384,959 concurrent users was recorded 22 hours ago, topping the previous record of 26.9 million that was set in April 2021.
The record has been broken multiple times since the start of the pandemic, but the latest milestone represents the first time the platform has surpassed the 27 million mark.
The top five most-played Steam titles over the past 24 hours were Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Apex Legends, and New World, with those games amassing over 2.3 million players combined.
