Newsbrief: Square Enix will publish a platformer based on Nathan Jurevicius's independent graphic novel Scarygirl for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Windows. TikGames, best known for creating Texas Hold 'em (XBLA) and Ricochet HD (PSN), is developing Scarygirl. The game will debut on XBLA on January 18, followed by a PSN release on January 24, and a Windows release in early 2012. The co-op game features a new storyline separate from Scarygirl's comic and upcoming feature film, but Square Enix says it will have the same fantastical art style, surreal environments and creatures, and tentacle-armed heroine that the franchise is known for.
