Newsbrief: Sports and eSports are about to inch a little bit closer, as Major League Gaming and ESPN's X Games partner together for a shared event in Austin, Texas this June. Participants in the MLG Call of Duty: Ghosts three-day invitational held alongside the regional X Games Circuit of The Americas event will get X Games medals; attendance to the Call of Duty tournament will be open to everyone who has a ticket for the X Games event. According to the press release, the MLG will also be "highlighted" in mainstream reporting on the X Games on the ESPN and ABC television networks, potentially leading to increased attention on eSports for unacquainted audiences.
