Newsbrief: Sony will shut down the servers for a number of its long-running online multiplayer games later this month, including 2003 PlayStation 2 release EverQuest Online Adventures. Four games will be closed down in total on March 29, with Cosmic Rift, Infantry and Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga also coming to an end. Sony said in a statement that it was "not an easy decision" to make, but that it was time for the developers of each game to move on to new endeavours. Current EverQuest Online Adventures players will receive 3 months of Gold Membership for both EverQuest and EverQuest II as a thank you for sticking with the title.
