Sega West president Mike Hayes is set to leave the company later this year, moving into advisory roles both at Sega and outside of the company. Hayes has previously held roles as marketing director at Nintendo, where he was in charge of the Game Boy and SNES launches, and later Codemasters. He was also responsible for the European launches of the Trivial Pursuit and Pictionary board games in the 1980s. He has been at Sega since 2004, and is passing on his role as CEO of Sega of Europe and Sega of America to Jurgen Post, the company's current COO. During his time at Sega, Hayes led the company in its shift to a stronger digital business model, while also being in charge of the acquisitions of Sports Interactive and The Creative Assembly. He will leave Sega during the summer. Sega director and CCO Naoya Tsurumi said, "Mike has achieved a huge amount during his time at Sega and we thank him for the amazing things he has accomplished."
